Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Ivanovo Region Denis Cherkesov visited the Appetit enterprise in Ivanovo

In general, in the Ivanovo region over the past year, the production of sausages increased by 6.8%, semi-finished MEAT products - by 15.7%.
As part of a working trip on Thursday, March 28, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Ivanovo Region Denis Cherkesov visited the Appetit enterprise in Ivanovo, which specializes in the production of meat products under the trademark “Craft Sausages.”
Now the sausage factory produces about 90 trade items of meat products: boiled and semi-smoked products, delicacies, pates, dry-cured sausages and semi-finished products.
“The production of meat products in the Ivanovo region is growing; in 2023, the production of sausages increased by 6.8%, semi-finished products - by 15.7%. Over the past two years, the Appetit company has significantly increased production volumes through the introduction of new modern equipment and expansion of the product range,” noted Denis Cherkesov.
The deputy chairman inspected the production and discussed further plans for the development of the enterprise with the executive DIRECTOR of the company Elena Shevchenko. She said that the company has been operating since 2016, sausages and meat delicacies are produced according to its own recipes from raw materials from local producers using only natural ingredients, there is a patent for an exclusive production technology. In 2020, the company won a government grant for innovation in biotechnology. Thanks to this, production was modernized and trade turnover increased.
“We have found our niche in the market - a natural product. The plant mainly produces meat products of categories A and B. Our new products are raw smoked and dry-cured sausages. We work with federal retail chains, our products can be found on the shelf with farm products,” said chief technologist Nikolai Shevchenko. The production produces about 2-3 tons of finished products per shift; it is planned to increase production volumes to 10 tons. The company is currently renting premises and plans to build its own plant.
Products of the “Craft Sausages” trademark can be purchased in company stores and retail outlets in Ivanovo, Yaroslavl, Kovrov and Belgorod. The products are also presented at regional farmers' fairs. In September 2023, the Appetit company, with the support of the My Business center, represented the Ivanovo region at the international exhibition WorldFood Moscow and received two medals for product quality.
