In Krasnoyarsk Krai, an antibiotic for cattle, which was stored in a refrigerator, was confiscated from the home of a family in which four children died due to poisoning, the press service of the regional prosecutor's office reported.

A family of six went to the hospital with symptoms of poisoning after eating dumplings and chicken they said they bought at a local store. CCTV footage showed they may not have bought the chicken there.

Previously, the prosecutor's office considered two versions of what happened - poisoning with products from a local store, as well as the ingestion of a life-threatening substance into the prepared food. Now they have added a third version - poisoning with products from their own farm.

The department reported that the family had livestock. "The deputy prosecutor of the region ordered a veterinary forensic examination of the animals and their feed," the publication says.

In the family's home, they found "a loose, light-colored substance in an unmarked plastic bag" that was stored in a kitchen cabinet. In the refrigeratorLaw enforcement officers found an antibiotic for cattle , the prosecutor's office added. All substances were seized for examination. "Plant pesticides that were lying on the floor of the apartment are being examined," the department noted.
