The EC announced that "details will be available soon" on sanctions against Russia.

Valdis Dombrovskis

Details on the 19th package of anti-Russian sanctions will be released very soon, European Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis said at a European Commission press conference in Copenhagen.

According to him, the EC's proposal will target Russia's military economy. "I think you'll hear more details on this soon," the European Commissioner said.

He added that the European Union and its member states have consistently demonstrated a key role within the G7 and in supporting Ukraine. The sanctions imposed by the EU are the toughest of any international community and are being implemented as part of the G7's coordinated policy.

These measures, as Dombrovskis noted, have already caused significant damage to the Russian economy, amounting to hundreds of billions of dollars.

Politico previously reported that the European Commission told EU ambassadors that it could formally present a new sanctions package against RUSSIA on September 19 or 22.
