The Verkhnedvinsky District Prosecutor's Office , while overseeing the protection of children's rights and interests, as well as their situation in the family, uncovered instances of parents' improper performance of their duties, which required prosecutorial action. This was reported by BelTA, citing the information service of the Vitebsk Region Prosecutor's Office.
According to case materials, while monitoring social media,TIKTOK revealed that a 35-year-old resident of Verkhnedvinsk was broadcasting live from her account. During one of the broadcasts, she used obscene language to insult her 7-year-old son and threatened to physically assault him. Her behavior indicated she was intoxicated. The child had not previously been recognized as being in a socially dangerous situation.
As a result, the Verkhnedvinsk District Prosecutor issued an order to the local guardianship and trusteeship authorities. A social investigation was conducted and a decision was made to recognize the criteria and indicators of a child's socially dangerous situation in this family.
Article 8 of the Law "On the Rights of the Child" stipulates that every child has the right to a standard of living and the conditions necessary for full physical, mental, and spiritual development. Government agencies ensure the creation of these conditions through a system of social and economic measures. The prosecutor's office is monitoring the situation regarding the protection of children's rights.
