Belgospischeprom: Our beverage producers are constantly working to develop new technologies

This was stated to reporters by Tatyana Shedko, First Deputy Chairperson of the Belgospischeprom concern, at the FOOD PROM BEVERAGES International Business Forum, according to a BELTA correspondent.

"Belarusian beverage producers are constantly working to master new technologies and implement innovations to produce high-quality products that meet strict safety requirements. Quality has become a symbol of our enterprises, a calling card, and a national brand. General of the Scientific and Practical Center for Food of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, emphasized that any product produced by Belarusian enterprises requires constant improvement. "The market is constantly evolving. New, interesting products are appearing on our shelves. Manufacturers are doing everything they can to diversify them and inject new life into trends," he shared.  From September 16-18, the Belgospischeprom concern is holding the 2nd International Business Forum, FOOD PROM BEVERAGES, in Minsk. The 6th International Tasting Competition of Alcoholic, Soft Drinks, Beer, and Juice Products, "Zalaty Kelikh," will take place during the event. "A qualified jury will evaluate the products. International tasters and representatives from RUSSIA participated. The evaluation results will be reviewed and approved by an expert council, which includes representatives of government agencies, research institutions, and representatives of manufacturing companies," explained Tatyana Shedko.  Irina Abramova, Director of the All-Russian Research Institute of Food Biotechnology, provided more details on the tasting process. "The organoleptic analysis method involves determining aroma, taste, and clarity. Our tasters monitor all of this. All components must comply with GOST standards. Courses are being held in Belarus and Russia to train and select tasters," she said. The international business forum, FOOD PROM BEVERAGES, opened today in Minsk. In addition to the competition, it includes a plenary session scheduled for September 18. The forum will discuss the ALCOHOL industry's development strategy and global trends in the production of non-alcoholic beer, wine, and spirits. Particular attention will be paid to improving mechanisms for monitoring the production and circulation of alcoholic beverages through identification and traceability labeling.
