Minsk . A drunk
Minsk resident without a license stole a taxi and crashed
it into a residential building, BelTA learned from the Minsk City Executive Committee's Main Directorate of Internal Affairs.
The Leninsky District Department of Internal Affairs received a report from a representative of a transport company who reported the theft of a taxi. That same day, the emergency response team received a report from eyewitnesses who reported that a vehicle with a similar license plate, driven by an unknown person, had crashed into a residential building.
Police officers immediately responded to the scene and detained the 28-year-old Minsk resident, who had not previously come to the attention of law enforcement.
"It turned out that the suspect knew the taxi driver and was in the car while his friend was getting a tattoo. However, without waiting for the procedure to be completed, he took the keys to the vehicle, set the alarm, drove away, and went silent. A short time later, he returned to the car, got behind the wheel, and drove into a residential building. It was established that the suspect was driving the stolen car in a state of intoxication.
" He was intoxicated and did not have the right to drive it," police reported.
A criminal case has been opened for vehicle theft.
