Dozens of individuals and legal entities, including organizations operating in Crimea and a number of Moldovan citizens, have been hit by Ukraine's new sanctions , which Zelensky said were "destabilizing" the country.

Dozens of individuals associated with the Crimean administration and organizations operating on the peninsula were added to the sanctions list. These include the Crimean Committee of Families and Soldiers of the Fatherland, the Black Sea Cossack Host, the Fevzi Yakubov Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University, and others.

Ukraine also imposed sanctions against Pierre de Gaulle, the grandson of Charles de Gaulle, the founder of the Fifth Republic and its first president, who led France from 1959 to 1969. Pierre de Gaulle visited Russia several times, including the 80th anniversary of Victory Day on May 9 in Red Square, and visited Crimea after its incorporation into the country. In early September, he announced his desire to move to Moscow.
