A cyclist died in a road accident with a truck in the Vileika district.

On September 17, at about 6:30 p.m., on the 53rd km of the N-9116 Krasnoe - Ilya - Pogost highway near the village of Bakunki, in the Vileika district, a 32-year-old resident of the Polotsk district, driving a Mercedes Benz truck and moving towards the village of Steshitsy, hit a 64-year-old cyclist who was riding in the traffic lane in the same direction as him. This was reported to BELTA by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee.

As a result of the accident, the cyclist died at the scene. 

Subsequently, a 55-year-old local resident, who did not have a driver's license (he did not receive one), but was driving a BMW in a state ofunder the influence of alcohol (2.5 ppm), he hit a parked Mercedes, which had previously hit a cyclist.
