The largest producers of poultry meat in the Tambov region are OJSC Tokarevskaya Poultry Farm, JSC Inzhavinskaya Poultry Farm, LLC Tambov Turkey. The growth in production volumes, according to the HEAD of the Department of Agriculture of the Tambov Region, Lidia Bakumenko, became possible due to the implementation of investment projects to modernize equipment at enterprises in the agro-industrial sector. It should also be noted that the regional authorities provide good support to enterprises. The head of the region, Alexander Nikitin, identified the development of the livestock sector in the region as a priority.

Modernization of equipment is the basis for improving the efficiency of enterprises in the agro-industrial sector, because. modern equipment allows us to significantly increase productivity, reduce the proportion of rejects and production waste. In addition, the implementation of investment projects allows the company to apply special investment regimes, thereby reducing the level of tax burden.

The production and export volumes of poultry are currently, of course, greatly influenced by external factors, such as the pandemic and the sanctions of Western countries. But in general, the situation in the industry remains quite stable. The most serious factor that significantly increases the risks in this industry is bird flu. Unfortunately, despite preventive measures, this disease often affects birds, which leads to significant losses and negatively affects the performance of poultry farms. But in general, the capacities of Russian producers cover the need for poultry meat both within the country and are ready to increase the volume of poultry exports abroad.
