Salmonella and listeria were found in poultry MEAT produced by one of the poultry enterprises of the republic. This is reported in the ROSSELKHOZNADZOR for the Republic of Mordovia and the Penza region.

After identifying the grossest violations, specialists from the State Veterinary Supervision Department conducted an inspection at the enterprise. She showed that in the poultry slaughter shop, the temperature regimes of the shop premises and the direct cooling regimes for poultry carcasses are not observed.

Also, violations in the documents of the food safety management system were revealed. The frequency of laboratory tests for microbiological parameters was also not observed.

“In addition, the execution of veterinary accompanying documents for controlled goods was carried out in the absence of information that violates the traceability of controlled goods during their production (the raw material from which the goods were made was not indicated)," the Rosselkhoznadzor reports.

Fines were imposed on the company, whose name was not specified in the department.

Also, Rosselkhoznadzor specialists monitor the quality of honey, which is brought from all over the republic to fairs in Saransk. To determine the quality and safety of honey from the fair, samples were taken. They are sent for research to an independent accredited laboratory.
