Spatula for mastitis test (Shalm's test)

•  is a white plate with four cups for testing milk samples from each quarter of the udder 
•  designed for effective diagnosis of the early stages of mastitis in cows, goats, sheep and other types of dairy animals
• the first few streams from each nipple are expressed into certain holes, a special reagent is added to each cup and mixed with milk
• the composition of the active substance allows veterinarians to determine the symptoms of mastitis in each quarter by the color of the liquid mass and the presence of clots in it

To carry out the Shalm test, a milk sample (about 2 ml) from each lobe of the udder is poured into each cavity.
