Decline in agricultural sales in Russia by 2025: changes and trends

In August of this year, grain sales totaled 7.9 million tonnes, 10.5% lower than in August 2024. However, it is noted that monthly sales increased by 1.6 times, which may indicate efforts by agricultural organizations to offset previous losses.

Livestock and poultry sales in live weight for January-August totaled 9.1 million tonnes, 0.6% higher than the same period in 2024. However, August saw a 1.6% decrease compared to August 2024 and a 3.1% decrease compared to July 2025.

On a positive note, MILK sales volumes for the first eight months of 2025 increased to 14.1 million tons, up 4% from 2024. Egg sales also increased, reaching 23.4 billion eggs, up 6% from last year. This demonstrates stable demand and the successful operation of poultry farms.

Overall, an analysis of agricultural indicators for the eighth month of 2025 shows that despite challenges in the grain sector, other sectors, such as dairy production and poultry farming, are showing positive results. It is important to continue monitoring the situation and taking measures to support and grow the agricultural sector in the future.
