The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister Ivan Smilgin, heads of the Ministry's departments, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Vietnam Vladimir Borovikov, as well as a Myanmar delegation led by Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation Dr. Tin Thuật and representatives of the country's industry agencies.

Cooperation between the countries is developing based on a memorandum of understanding signed in March 2025. Key areas of bilateral cooperation were discussed at the meeting: certification of Belarusian MEAT and dairy products, phytosanitary requirements and conditions for access to the Myanmar market, and prospects for expanding the range of exports.
"The official visit of the Myanmar delegation confirms the high level of dialogue and interest in strengthening agricultural cooperation. Relations have reached a new qualitative level," noted Ivan Smilgin.
Cooperation between the countries is developing dynamically. The first deliveries of Belarusian dry MILK products began this year. Exports to Myanmar from January to July 2025 increased fourfold compared to the same period last year. The main products included whole and skim milk powder , whey, butter , and cheeses . Belarus proposed expanding the product range by providing EXPORT supplies of canned meat, including baby food, dry infant formula and condensed milk, FLOUR, and pasta.
A willingness to support the development of dairy farming in Myanmar has also been expressed, including design, equipment supply, and specialist training at Belarusian agricultural universities.
The Myanmar side highly praised the efficiency and professionalism of their Belarusian colleagues, noted the high quality of their products, and expressed interest in further expanding cooperation in all areas outlined.
