Harvesting campaign launched in Khabarovsk Territory

Harvesting of grain crops has started in the Khabarovsk Territory: barley, oats and wheat. Specialists of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Territory visited the fields of SKIFAGRO-DV LLC in the village of Avan, Vyazemsky District, Khabarovsk Territory.
350 hectares have been allocated for wheat of the elite variety Altaiskaya 75, of which 70 have already been harvested. For three years on Khabarovsk land, the variety has proven itself as a fodder variety.
Now 7 self-propelled grain harvesters are working on the fields, one of which replenished the fleet of vehicles in 2020.
“175 tons of grain have already been collected, the plan is 875 tons. We hope that we will be able to exceed it,” said Alexander Rog-Kustov, Acting DIRECTOR of SKIFAGRRO-DV LLC.
After the grain has been tested for the percentage of moisture, it will go for sale to livestock enterprises in the Khabarovsk Territory.
“This year we plan to harvest 18,000 tons of grain. This will provide the region with its own forage base, which will have a positive impact on the increase in MILK yield and the volume of milk production,” commented the acting. HEAD of the Department for the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex and Breeding Work of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Khabarovsk Territory Alyona Seleznev.
It should be noted that at the moment 1.3 thousand hectares out of more than 9 thousand have already been harvested, 2.3 thousand tons of grain have been threshed.
