In the Moscow Region, efforts to bring previously unused land back into agricultural use continue .
Since the beginning of 2025, regional enterprises have already developed over 4,000 hectares of fallow land, distributed across 20 urban districts of the region.
In the Volokolamsk District, Rassvet-Avangard LLC led the way, bringing 838 hectares into cultivation for grain and legume crops. Shulgino LLC, a dairy farmer, also developed 7 hectares in the district.
In Stupino, dairy enterprises have developed significant areas: Barybino Plemenzavod LLC (358.5 hectares) and Povadino Plemenzavod LLC (329.7 hectares), both engaged in dairy cattle breeding and production. AgroMoloko JSC also contributed (29 hectares). In Lotoshino, Agroinnovatsiya MO LLC has brought 385 hectares of land into cultivation for grain crops.
According to the Moscow Region Ministry of Agriculture and Food, agricultural producers bringing fallow land into cultivation can receive a subsidy for up to 50% of their costs for land management. The program allows businesses to increase their acreage and expand production capacity, contributing to food security in the region. More information about these support measures is available on the "My AIC" portal.
