Deputy Chairman of the Regional Government - Minister of Agriculture of the Region Roman Kovalsky and Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Region for the Development of the Livestock Industry Alexey Molchanov visited Vremya 91 LLC in the village of Krasny Yar, Engels District, which specializes in raising broiler chickens.
As Roman Belov, deputy DIRECTOR for livestock farming, said, until 2017 the enterprise was engaged in pig breeding, after which it switched to an alternative activity to pig farming - raising poultry for MEAT .
LLC "Vremya 91" can be classified as a small business: annually it produces about 700 tons of poultry meat in live weight. The enterprise contains more than 28,300 birds; over the nine months of this year, 461.3 tons of poultry were produced for slaughter in live weight.
During the visit, Roman Kovalsky noted a fairly high level of production organization, as well as a high level of biological protection in connection with the spread of infectious and viral diseases.
With the HEAD of Vremya 91, Vladimir Golytbin, the head of the agricultural department discussed support measures aimed at the further development of both this enterprise and poultry farming in small forms of farming in the region as a whole. It was noted that poultry meat is one of the most affordable for the population, but now residents of the region are not fully provided with it, so the development of broiler poultry farming is one of the priorities.
