Law enforcement officers have shut down a mini-factory producing strong liquor, the Ministry of Internal Affairs press service told BelTA.
The illegal production of alcoholic beverages was discovered during raids in the village of Zabolotye, where a mini-factory for
alcohol production had been set up. Approximately 9,400 liters of home-brewed mash and over 1,000 liters of finished product were seized from the outbuildings of a 24-year-old local resident.
The offender is not officially employed and was selling alcohol.
A chemical analysis of the discovered products will determine the legal status of his actions.
Law enforcement officials remind everyone that the production of alcoholic beverages and their semi-finished products, as well as the possession of equipment for their production, are punishable by a fine of up to 30 base units, including confiscation.
