Spain reported a major international operation against retail chains, during which 11.5 tons of substandard or expired food products and nearly 1.5 million liters of beverages were seized. This was reported by TASS , citing a statement from Spanish law enforcement. 

According to the Spanish Civil Guard, representatives from 31 countries participated in the international operation. In Spain, 10 people were detained during the investigation. 101 arrest warrants were issued. Goods worth over €95 million, including alcoholic beverages, fruits , vegetables, and MEAT products , were seized from sale .Fish , seafood, dairy products, SUGAR , and additives. 

The operation was aimed at disrupting the activities of organized crime groups. These groups infiltrated waste disposal companies internationally to gain access to expired products, alter their expiration dates, and then reintroduce them with counterfeit labels.
