October 4, Chashniki. The regional festival and fair of rural workers, "Dazhynki," held in Chashniki, surprised guests with a variety of Belarusian dishes, BelTA reports.
The total length of the shopping arcades is over 1,000 meters. They offer traditional Belarusian dishes, as well as grilled and barbecued dishes, aromatic shashlik, pastries, honey, fruits and
vegetables , and much more.
At the Chashniki District marketplace, you can try pike caught in Lake Lukomlskoye, pancakes with various fillings, homemade cottage cheese, and Belarusian zrazy. Grandmother's barley and stewed
MEAT porridge cooked over a fire, and bream fish soup are offered at the Ushachi District marketplace, while a set of pancakes, scrambled eggs, and krambambula is available at the Orsha District marketplace. You can sample authentic dishes at a farmstead in the Polotsk region. Many will remember their "Ladada"—pancakes made with sour
MILK and fried lard and onions, baked in the oven; "Zavozerska syalyanka"—fried bread with egg, lard, onions, and herbs, prepared in the field; "Aksamitny kvass" made from marigolds; and "Kulyabyaka-rybnitsa"—baked lake fish in dough.

Guests enjoyed the food on offer.
"We grabbed some Miory
sausages and drank tea. We tried
cheeses from businesses in the Glubokoe and Verkhnedvinsky districts. The mood was wonderful," said Tatyana Shaykova, First Deputy
HEAD of the Agriculture and Food Department of the Liozno District Executive Committee.
Local resident Valentina Stoma noted that the district center had never seen such a grandiose festival. Each district of the Vitebsk region showed off its riches.
"We liked everything. I wanted to try every dish," added Elena Lesnikova from Senno.
