Ivanovo Oblast became one of the largest importers of dairy products through BUTB

October 9, MINSK . The Ivanovo Region has become one of the largest importers of dairy products through the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange.

The Ivanovo Region is among the top ten regions in RUSSIA for importing dairy products through the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange. Over the first nine months of 2025, Ivanovo companies purchased almost 1,500 tons of Belarusian dairy products at exchange trades for a total of $6.5 million. Butter was in the greatest demand . This commodity item accounted for 73% of all dairy purchases in value terms and 48% in kind. The remaining volume was accounted for by skim and whole MILK powder , whey powder, andCottage cheese . A representative of the Belarusian Commodity Exchange (BUCE) announced this during a meeting with a business delegation from the Ivanovo Region at the Moscow House in Minsk. The event was organized by the Russian Trade Mission in Belarus.

In addition to dairy products, this year, traders from the Ivanovo Region purchased MEAT products, primarily rendered fats, on the exchange. Furthermore, in 2025, industrial goods produced in the region were sold at the Belarusian Commodity Exchange (BUCE) for the first time. The pilot transaction involved a modular container for storing gamma flaw detectors. Therefore, it is expected that the industrial sector could become one of the main drivers of growth in exchange trade between Belarus and the Ivanovo Region. In particular, petrochemical products , such as polymer film, packaging materials and containers, as well as textile raw materials, will be in demand on the Belarusian market. Since 2024 , Belarusian light industry enterprises have been regularly purchasing these products at the Belarusian Commodity Exchange .

As of October 9 of this year, 27 business entities from the Ivanovo region were accredited at the BUTB (plus four new ones since the beginning of the year).
