Farmers in the Nizhny Novgorod region have harvested over 1.8 million tons of grain, with 93 percent of the area harvested to date.Nikolai Denisov, Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, said,
"The grain and legume plan has been exceeded by 15 percent. Last year, by this date, 1.5 million tons of grain had been harvested—22 percent less. More than 230,000 tons of potatoes and 58,000 tons of SUGAR beets have also been harvested, and over 13,000 tons of vegetables have been prepared. This year, yields for several crops are higher than planned. For grain and legumes, 32 centners per hectare, for potatoes, almost 344 centners per hectare, and for rapeseed, 24 centners per hectare. Soybeans, flaxseed, and mustard are also being harvested."
According to current data from the regional Ministry of Agriculture, forage harvesting is also ongoing. The haylage plan was exceeded by 18%, with 774,000 tons harvested. The hay plan was almost 100% fulfilled (146,000 tons), and the silage plan was 59% fulfilled (441,000 tons). 27 centners of solid and succulent feed per HEAD of cattle were harvested.

Rapeseed has been sown on over 15,500 hectares, and rye on over 8,000 hectares. Triticale and vetch are also being sown. As a reminder, more than 6.7 billion rubles have been allocated in 2025 to support the agro-industrial complex and rural development in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
