On the Don again recorded a decrease in unemployment

In the Rostov region, a decrease in the unemployment rate is again recorded: in the first quarter of 2021, it amounted to 4.8%, a month earlier this figure reached 5%. The relevant data is provided by Rostovsat.

“In January-March of this year, the unemployment rate in the Rostov region continued to decline and amounted to 4.8%. It should be noted that the situation in the region is developing in line with the all-Russian trend, while the reduction in the unemployment rate on average in the Rostov region and the Russian Federation over this period amounted to 0.2 percentage points,” the report says.

Напомним, рост числа безработных фиксировался весной 2020 года. Тогда в ходе брифинга начальник управления службы занятости населения Ростовской области Сергей Григорян сообщил, что порядка 36 тыс. жителей Ростовской области зарегистрировались в качестве безработных по итогам апреля, через месяц после начала пандемии covid-19 в РФ. Затем на Дону отмечался систематический рост этого показателя. Уже в августе он увеличился в 5 раз, в сравнении с 2019 годом, а по итогам 2020 года — более чем в шесть раз.
