Colony Star semi-automatic device for counting the number of microbial colonies on petri dishes

 

For quick and efficient counting, the Colony Counter uses a standard felt-tip pen. When a colony of microorganisms is touched with the stick, the colony is marked and the electronic counter is automatically triggered. Colony counting is performed by means of a pressure sensitive counting plate. The sensitivity of the counting plate is adjustable. In addition, an audible signal is used to indicate when the colony counter has been activated, and the signal is switched off if necessary. 

 

The area for the Petri dish installation has a diameter of 145 mm, the delivery set includes a reducing insert for work with Petri dishes of a smaller diameter.

 

The plastic housing of the colony counter can be easily cleaned if necessary.

 

Selectable backlight color and brightness of the light field as well as adjustable height of the COLONYSTAR colony counter ensure high efficiency and reduce eye strain.

 

Illumination color: 65 different color choices with a choice of red/blue/green color combinations.

 

The use of LEDs ensures no heating of petri dishes and uniform, comfortable illumination that reduces eye strain.
