Outbreak of African swine fever registered in Kstovo

The epizootic focus was detected in the last days of August in a personal subsidiary plot located on the territory of the administrative center of the Kstovsky district. During the examination of the pathological material of the dead pig, DNA of the African swine fever virus was found.

Veterinary services establish the circumstances of the next outbreak, localize and sanitize the outbreak. ASF quarantine has been introduced in Kstovo.

In the summer of 2021, outbreaks of ASF were registered in the Navashinsky, Sergachsky, Vorotynsky and Vachsky districts of the Nizhny Novgorod region. ROSSELKHOZNADZOR predicted worsening of the epizootic situation by autumn.
