The price reduction is due to several factors. Firstly, stable demand for eggs contributes to confident work of producers. In October of this year, production managed to grow by 3.5% compared to September, which led to an increase in supply and, accordingly, to a decrease in prices. Secondly, the modernization of poultry enterprises had a positive effect on production volumes. The use of modern technologies and improved conditions for keeping poultry allowed to increase productivity and quality of products, which subsequently affected selling prices .
According to forecasts by Sergei Lakhtyukhov, CEO of the National Union of Poultry Farmers, poultry production is expected to increase in 2024. In the first nine months of this year, increases amounted to 2.6%, and in the third quarter, the growth rate increased to 5.7-8.6%. This suggests that the industry intends to continue increasing production volumes, which may also affect prices for eggs and poultry MEAT in general.
For consumers, lower prices for chicken eggs are generally a positive development, as more affordable prices allow many families to improve their diets by adding more eggs, which are a valuable source of protein and other nutrients. However, it is worth noting that such changes can negatively affect producers, who may face reduced profits.
The current state of the Russian chicken egg market is characterized by a decrease in selling prices and a stable increase in production. The modernization of poultry farms and the growth in poultry production volumes create positive conditions for the further development of the industry. In the coming months, it can be expected that the current trends will continue, which will affect the stability and availability of chicken eggs on the Russian market.
