Since the beginning of the year, 2.8 tons of livestock products and more than 2 million entomophage insects have been controlled at Bratsk stations

Almost all transported products are made by domestic producers (372 tons of compound feed and pet food, 39 tons of poultry MEAT, 95 tons of pork, 20 tons of beef, 18 tons of fish and 79.5 tons of finished products).

In total, since the beginning of 2023, a total of 2,792 tons of controlled products have been controlled at the northern unloading points: 1,441 tons of compound feed and feed for non-productive animals, 506 tons of poultry meat, 423 tons of pork, 27 tons of beef, 240 tons of fish, 155 tons of finished products . In this case, no violations of veterinary legislation were revealed.

In addition, since the beginning of the year, employees of the supervisory department have controlled large batches of entomophage insects in the amount of 2,201 thousand pieces, which are supplied to the greenhouse facilities of Angara Agricultural Firm JSC. Entomophages are insects that destroy by eating various pests of fields, greenhouses and vegetable gardens. They effectively and completely safely fight pests such as thrips, herbivorous mites, whiteflies and others.

The use of entomophages is the most ecological and natural type of insect pest control. This method of plant protection allows you not to pollute the environment, as happens when using pesticides, and at the same time does not cause addiction in pests. In addition, many entomophages are pollinators of cultivated plants, thus bringing additional benefits to agriculture.
