The "Residual Alkalinity" test strips are designed for the express control of residual quantities of alkaline components of detergents and disinfectants in wastewater and on surfaces. This test is completely ready-to-use and does not require additional reagents and equipment.< Indicator strips "Residual alkalinity" can be used to determine traces of alkali and alkaline earth metal hydroxides, soda and tertiary amines.
They are designed for semi-quantitative determination of the concentration of alkaline components of detergents in flush water and on equipment surfaces. This test is completely ready-to-use and requires no additional reagents or equipment. Indicator strips are supplied in a pack of 100 pieces.
How to use:
1) Determination of total alkalinity in process solutions and in flush water: immerse the indicator strip in the test solution for 1-2 seconds, then remove
IT and after 10 seconds compare the coloring of the indicator strip with the color scale.
2) Determination of residual alkalinity on the surface of the equipment: put the strip soaked in water to the surface under study for 1-2 seconds, then assess the coloring of the indicator strip. If the strip remains yellow, the quality of washing of the equipment is considered satisfactory. In case the strip is colored from orange to crimson,
it is necessary to rinse the surface again and repeat the test.
The scale is given as: 0 - 50 - 100 - 250 - 500 mg/L KOH.
Color change: yellow → crimson.
Guaranteed shelf life: 18 months from the production date.
