Forecast per capita meat consumption in Argentina in 2023

The distribution of the MEAT ration of the average inhabitants will consist of 46% beef, 39% poultry and 15% pork.

The purchasing power of beef has improved over the past two years, both relative to wages and relative to other meat prices, so its relative share in consumption has increased. However, if we look at a longer period, such as the average of the last 10 years, we see that beef consumption has lost ground compared to alternative products as a result of the lower purchasing power of wages and the relative decline in prices for chicken and pork.
