Travnikov told how schoolchildren will study from September 1

Governor of the Novosibirsk Region Andrey Travnikov did not rule out extending school holidays due to covid-19 . He also announced the introduction of distance learning in case of deterioration of the epidemiological situation. However, according to the HEAD, so far no special measures are planned to be introduced.

“We are preparing to start the academic year in the usual full-time mode, subject to additional measures from Rospotrebnadzor. Everything will depend on the situation. So far, we are predicting a situation that will allow us to start studying from September 1 as usual. But we will not risk children and teachers. If we feel that the situation is getting worse, and even if we have to switch to distance, we will try to make soft decisions, as we did last year. Then only the senior and middle classes were taken out, without beginning, without graduation, ”the governor said during the program“ Governor Live ”on the OTS channel.

Travnikov also added that he is not against the new modern methods of work of teachers, including online, “but total distance education is bad. Therefore, every effort must be made not to introduce a total distance.”
