The Ministry of Education and Science recommended that all subordinate Moscow universities switch to distance learning, TASS reports.

“The Ministry of Education and Science recommends that subordinate educational organizations of higher education located in Moscow, if they have the appropriate technical capabilities, switch to a distance learning format,” the ministry said in a statement.

The ministry clarified that if it is not possible to organize the educational process remotely, universities must comply with the requirements of Rospotrebnadzor and take all necessary measures to counteract covid-19 .

The press service clarified that due to the fact that the days from June 15 to 19 were declared non-working in Moscow, the Ministry of Education and Science will soon issue an order with recommendations on organizing education in universities subordinate to the ministry, taking into account the risks of the spread of a new wave of CORONAVIRUS.
