PIONERPRODUKT.by continues to publish videos from the AgroExpedition "Agriculture of Kazakhstan". In this video, we will visit the apiary and talk with the beekeeper Farhat.
Farakht is a hereditary beekeeper , from early childhood he helped his father in working with bees, gradually this hobby passed into adulthood, becoming both a business and a hobby.
Apiary Farhat is located in a small valley hidden in the foothills of the Dzungarian Alatau, where, far from civilization, such mountain herbs grow, which in fact is a paradise for any bee, and therefore for the beekeeper.
One of the signs that this place is suitable for an apiary is the presence of anthills, because. their living conditions for ants and bees are similar - where one lives, there will be others.
At the time of filming, there were 200 bee colonies of the Central Russian breed of bees in the apiary. Of course, at the beginning there were experiments with breeding other types of bees, such as the Carpathian and Karnika, but in the end they settled on the most hardworking - the Central Russian breed.
The pumping of honey begins when 2/3 of the frame is filled with honey, this happens, as a rule, at the end of June, while the moisture content of honey is 11-12%.
Apiary works closely with the local Research Institute of Crop and Livestock and even conducts scientific experiments! One of them was to breed bees in highlands and researchtheir productive performance.
In addition, Farhat conducts free seminars for amateur beekeepers, because most of them do not have sufficient scientific knowledge, which is why the quality of the honey received leaves much to be desired. But at the local honey factory, which is managed by Farhat, there are very strict requirements for accepted honey, so in order to earn money , the owners of the apiary willy-nilly have to study and work for quality.
In addition, Farhat and his relatives are engaged in self-education on an ongoing basis, because beekeeping is an art that contains so many nuances that it is impossible to learn them in a lifetime. It is the desire for excellence and the acquisition of new knowledge that is the key to success in apiaries and in life.
Also, honey from the apiary actively participates in various exhibitions and competitions, and not only participates, but shows excellent results. Including at the international competition Apimondia-XLV, where, after the announcement of the results, all the imported honey, which is almost 100 kilograms, was eaten: everyone wanted to try it.
