VK and Sberbank started looking for a buyer for the Kitchen in the District service

VK (former Mail.ru Group) and Sberbank are looking for a buyer for the ready-to-eat food delivery service in Moscow, Kitchen on the District, which is owned by their joint venture, O2O Holding. Information about this was told by three sources of RBC in the e-commerce market and one source close to VK.

According to one of the interlocutors, there are several potential applicants for the service. Including the owners of "Kitchen in the area" tried to negotiate its sale to "Yandex", said another interlocutor of RBC. According to another RBC source, the owner "does not allow the service to increase the number of orders so as not to multiply losses."

Another source in the it market, familiar with the plans of VK and Sberbank, claims that O2O Holding may completely close the Kitchen in the District project "in connection with the optimization of the business areas of the holdings."

The representative of "Yandex" said that the company does not comment on rumors. VK and Sberbank declined to comment.
