The region introduced mandatory vaccination for two more categories of citizens

Residents of the Kaliningrad region over 60 years old, as well as citizens suffering from chronic diseases, were required to be vaccinated against CORONAVIRUS by January 15, 2022. This is stated in the decision of the chief sanitary DOCTOR of the region Elena Babur, published on the website of the regional Rospotrebnadzor on Wednesday, November 17.

Managers of enterprises whose employees fall into these categories must arrange for them to be vaccinated with the first component by December 15, and the second component by January 15. If a person is vaccinated with a single-component vaccine, it is also necessary to get vaccinated before December 15th. The regional Ministry of HEALTH was instructed to organize the immunization of residents over 60 with chronic diseases as a priority.

The resolution notes that following the results of 42 weeks in the region, the incidence of covid-19 among people aged 60-64 years increased by 25%, over 65 years old - by 3.2 times. According to the results of the 45th week, the incidence rate of residents over 65 years old was 443.1 per 100,000 citizens, which is the highest rate compared to other age groups.

As RBC Kaliningrad wrote, the regional COURT refused to satisfy the claim of the coach of one of the sports schools, who asked to declare illegal and invalid the decision of the chief sanitary doctor of the region on mandatory vaccination against coronavirus for a number of categories of citizens, including educators.
