Thermal hygrometers IVA-6A and IVA-6H are autonomous portable devices and are designed to measure relative humidity, temperature and atmospheric pressure (optional) of air in residential, warehouse and industrial premises, as well as in a free atmosphere.
Thermohygrometers IVA-6A, IVA-6H consist of a display unit and measuring transducer.
In a thermo hygrometer IVA-6A measuring transducer is connected with indication unit by flexible cable which is about 1 meter long and
it allows to control air humidity and temperature in hard to reach places such as ventilation ducts.
In the IVA-6H thermohygrometer the measuring transducer is installed on the indication unit. The thermo hygrometer IVA-6H can be placed on the wall with the help of a bracket.
Thermo hygrometers can be used:
for measuring microclimate parameters in museums, archives, libraries, pharmacies, test laboratories, clean production rooms of pharmaceutical and electronic industries
Certification of workplaces in labor protection centers and CSES
For air humidity control in the printing industry
For control of products storage.
Designation of devices IVA-6 when ordering:
IVA-6A: with remote probe on the cable without registration of measured values and atmospheric pressure measuring channel.
IVA-6A-D: with external probe on the cable without registration of measured values, with atmospheric pressure measuring channel.
IVA-6A-KP: with remote probe on the cable with registration of the measured values on the memory card (microSD), without atmospheric pressure measuring channel.
IVA-6A-KP-D: with remote probe on the cable with registration of the measured values on a memory card (microSD) and atmospheric pressure measuring channel.
IVA-6H: with built-in probe without registration of the measured values and atmospheric pressure measuring channel.
IVA-6N-D: with built-in probe without registration of measured values, with atmospheric pressure measuring channel.
IVA-6N-KP: with built-in probe with measured values registration on memory card (microSD), without atmospheric pressure measuring channel.
IVA-6N-KP-D: with built-in probe with measured values registration on memory card (microSD) and atmospheric pressure measurement channel.
Metrological characteristics of hygrometers IVA-6A and IVA-6N are almost the same except for the temperature measurement range: from -20 to 50°C for hygrometer IVA-6N and from -20 to 60°C for hygrometer IVA-6A which is caused by permissible operating conditions of display unit.
When the extension cable KU-1 is connected all metrological characteristics of thermo hygrometers IVA-6N and IVA-6A become absolutely identical.
On the liquid crystal display of thermohygrometers IVA-6A and IVA-6H the current measured values of temperature and relative humidity are continuously indicated. The period of updating of indications is 60 seconds. When any button is pressed the thermo hygrometer switches to "fast" measurement mode and the period of updating the indications on the display is 1 second. After 30 seconds the refresh period on the indicator returns to 60 seconds.
The continuous working time when using 2 A*h alkaline cells and the "fast" measuring mode is not more than 1 hour a day is not less than 1 year.
The thermohygrometer calculates the dew point temperature (frost point) from the measured temperature and relative humidity values.
When the temperature is negative, the instrument can output the relative humidity value over water or over ice.
Thermohygrometers IVA-6A, IVA-6H are produced in 2 modifications:
without atmospheric pressure measurement channel (IVA-6A, IVA-6N, IVA-6A-KP and IVA-6N-KP)
with atmospheric pressure measuring channel (IVA-6A-D, IVA-6N-D, IVA-6A-CP-D and IVA-6N-CP-D).
Units of atmospheric pressure measurement "hPa" (hectaPascals, 1 hPa = 100 Pa = 0.1 kPa) or "mmHg (millimeters of Hg) are user-selectable when configuring the thermohygrometer via the USB port.
Thermohygrometers IVA-6A, IVA-6H are produced in two versions:
with registration of the measured values on microSD card and possibility of reading the accumulated data through USB-port (IVA-6A-KP and IVA-6N-KP)
with disabled function of registration of the measured values (IVA-6A and IVA-6H)
In thermohygrometers with disabled function of measured value recording (IVA-6A, IVA-6N, IVA-6A-D and IVA-6N-D) the recording function can be activated by the user with the help of the key bought from the supplier. The activation instruction and the key are supplied on a memory card or sent by e-mail (in this case the user acquires the memory card himself).
The memory card slot and mini USB connector for connecting to a personal computer are located on the top end of the thermohygrometer display unit.
The thermohygrometer uses standard removable microSD cards to record measured relative humidity and temperature values in real calendar time. A memory card for devices with data logging enabled is included with the device. The DataLogger program is also included on this card.
The number of records of measured humidity and temperature values is 100,000 per 1 MB of memory card capacity, which provides continuous data recording for the entire life of the battery pack.
There are two ways to read the accumulated data from the thermohygrometer:
from the memory card through the card reader
Through the USB-port of the thermohygrometer
The DataLogger software reads data from a memory card, generates a data log for each thermohygrometer, and generates text and graphical reports.
The memory card can be installed in any thermohygrometer, as a file is created on it at the moment of installation, which contains information about the number of the device.
The data recorded on the card is encrypted to prevent the possibility of falsification.
The thermohygrometers IVA-6A and IVA-6H remember the minimum and maximum values of humidity and temperature, time and date of these events.
For use in low light conditions the user can turn on the backlight of the indicator by pressing the button "✱". The backlight is switched off by pressing the "✱" button again or automatically after 20 s. The brightness of the backlight can be adjusted when configuring the thermohygrometer via the USB port with the DataLogger software.
The thermo hygrometers have an audible and visual indication of the measured values of relative humidity and temperature exceeding the set limits (using the DataLogger program).
When using the thermohygrometer in dirty environments, we recommend using a porous fluoroplastic protective cap to protect the sensors from aerosols, dust, and condensation.
The use of the protective cap prevents degradation of the metrological performance when the surface of the moisture sensor is contaminated.
