Enterprises of the Lepel District will strengthen mutual cooperation with Russian regions

The Lepel District has long established cooperation with Russian regions in various fields, but thanks to the agreements between the presidents of our countries, it is planned to strengthen mutual contacts. The sanctions pressure exerted by the collective West on Belarus is reflected in the work of the sectors of the economy both of the whole country and of a particular region. Enterprises that supplied their products to the EU countries were forced to quickly reorganize to other sales markets and look for new customers and partners. “We have long established good neighborly relations with the regions of RUSSIA. This year we have seen how reliable this country is as a partner. Exports to Russia amounted to about $2.8 million and have increased by 16% since the beginning of the year. There are already examples of specific enterprises that successfully gained a foothold in the Russian market. plans to increase the EXPORT of manufactured products to the Russian Federation with the release of the design capacity of a new production of building materials. It is going to install five new lines for the production of metal profiles, a line for slitting metal, two lines for the production of profiles for laying cable channels. This will allow the company to compete in the Russian market and find new consumers. Thanks to the cooperation agreements between President of Belarus ALEXANDER LUKASHENKO and Russian leader Vladimir Putin, the programs of the Union State that will be implemented in our state, we expect to strengthen interaction with Russian regions, find new contacts and, possibly, occupy a free niche in the Russian market. It will be useful not only to us, but also to our neighbors,"

One of the main enterprises of the region, the Lepel Dairy Canning Plant, is similarly focused mainly on the Russian market, where 62% of export products are supplied. Among the residents of the eastern neighboring country, there is a high demand for whole and skimmed MILK powderand butter from Lepel manufacturers. "The change in the markets for goods and services in our region took place in different areas. The Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve and the Lepel Forestry Redirected export flows from the markets of unfriendly countries to the eastern direction, including the Russian Federation.
