An attempt to illegally import more than 4.2 tons of sanctioned products was stopped in the Smolensk region

After an inspection, specialists from the ROSSELKHOZNADZOR Administration for the Bryansk, Smolensk and Kaluga Regions found that the large cargo contained pallets with more than 3,687 kg of various types of cheese and 582 kg of pork ham produced in Italy and Spain. The lack of documents confirming the safety and quality of the products, as well as unsanitary transportation conditions, created a threat to consumers.

All products were confiscated and sent for disposal, and the guilty parties were brought to administrative responsibility.
