A female passenger and the driver were injured in the accident, BelTA learned from the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Main Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Minsk City Executive Committee.

Last night, the 33-year-old driver of a Hongqi, driving along Timoshenko Street, lost control and damaged nine parked cars near house No. 14/1 on Timoshenko Street. The driver's physical condition aroused the suspicion of the traffic police officers who arrived at the scene. A medical examination revealed that the offender's exhaled air contained 3.23 ppm of alcohol.

The driver and the 18-year-old passenger were taken to a healthcare facility for examination.

Administrative charges have been filed against the offender, and his car has been placed in a secure parking lot. A notification letter will be sent to the man's place of work .

Law enforcement officials urge all road users to remain aware of the problem of drunk driving and to promptly report to the 102 hotline any drivers who behave inappropriately on the road and pose a danger to themselves and others.
