Poultry farming in the Volgograd region: growth of livestock and volume of egg production in 2024

At the end of 2024 , the total volume of egg production is expected to remain at the level of 2023, when 832.2 million units were shipped, which is also 6.4 million more than in 2022. An important aspect of the development of poultry farming is the modernization of enterprises, which is actively supported by the Governor of the Volgograd Region Andrey Bocharov. In particular, Agrofirma Vostok, which celebrates its 55th anniversary in 2024, carried out a large-scale project from 2015 to 2023 to reconstruct the main production, during which the buildings were updated and outdated equipment was replaced with modern high-tech equipment. This made it possible to increase the capacity of the enterprise to 818 thousand places for adult hens and 332 thousand places for growing young animals.
