Poultry farmers were offered not to sell eggs on electronic tenders

The Ministry of Agriculture has offered poultry producers to abandon electronic tenders for the sale of eggs and return to supplies under direct contracts. According to the leadership of the department, this will help to avoid a drop in egg production and a possible shortage.

At the moment, eggs are traded, as a rule, through electronic tenders, where trading organizations submit bids with the desired value, and poultry farms are ready to set a price lower than that of competitors in order to only take their products. Such an explanation of the situation and interaction with retail was given by manufacturers. it would be more convenient for many of them to switch to direct contracts, which fix the purchase price for a long time, for six months or even a year.

The Ministry of Agriculture cites data according to which wholesale prices at the beginning of summer are indeed very low. So, chicken eggs of the 1st category cost 48.6 rubles, the 2nd - 42.5. And in some cases, when non-branded eggs are the subject of bargaining, then there are cases of concluding contracts at a price below their cost.

Rosptitsesoyuz and the National Union of Poultry Farmers confirm that this is not an exaggeration and that the average price of this product in the purchase is in the range from 28 to 35 rubles, while its cost is from 49 to 52. In trade organizations, they are set at a price of 74 - 110 rubles, Izvestia reports.

Meanwhile, the HEAD of the  ROSSELKHOZNADZOR  , Sergei Dankvert, said that in order to regulate prices for basic food products in RUSSIA, it would be worth adopting the American experience and creating intervention funds for food.
