Harvesting of oilseeds is being completed in the Lipetsk region

In total, 415 thousand hectares were sown with oilseeds this year. These are record areas for the region.
“We are now in the final stage of harvesting oilseeds,” commented Deputy Governor of the Lipetsk Region Igor Kremnev. – It’s too early to talk about the results, but preliminary results can be summed up now. We have record yields for most oilseeds. Thanks to this, more than 840 thousand tons of oilseeds have been harvested to date. In 2022, Lipetsk farmers received 815 thousand tons of sunflower, rapeseed, soybeans and other oilseeds. it was a record then. At the moment, sunflower and soybean harvesting continues.”
The region harvested a record harvest of rapeseed - 133.2 thousand tons in bunker weight. The area under it this year was not the largest, but the record yield for the region, 23.7 c/ha, made it possible to obtain more rapeseed than in previous years.
About 10% of the area under soybeans remains to be threshed. This year, a record 150.9 thousand hectares are allocated for soybeans. At the moment, 330 thousand tons of soybeans in bunker weight have been collected. In total, 261.2 thousand tons were collected in 2022. Such a high result was achieved for the first time in the Lipetsk region. Soybean yield as of November 9 is 24.4 c/ha, which is 6.5% higher than on the same date in 2022.
Sunflowers have been harvested from 75% of the areas. This year, 202 thousand hectares are allocated for it. 384 thousand tons were obtained with an average yield of 25.1 centners/ha, and in the Izmalkovsky and Stanovlyansky districts more than 30 centners of sunflower are obtained per hectare.
