The top four fastest-growing farms were Ivan Sergeev from the Kozhevnikovsky District, Andrey Gordienko from the Tomsky District, and Evgeny Toropov from the Molchanovsky District. The Belostok agricultural cooperative completed the grain harvest on a 600-hectare plot in the Shegarsky District.
According to Ivan Sergeev, the wheat harvest was good this year. He grows the Iren and Likamero varieties and sowed the Odeta variety for the first time.
"Odeta was particularly impressive with its yield, yielding 61 centners per hectare. As of today, we've harvested all 700 hectares sown with wheat, with an average yield of 33.3 centners per hectare. We'll begin harvesting the rapeseed any day now. The harvest is going according to plan, and we're not complaining about the weather. The only disappointing thing is the low price of wheat. "We would really like to update our equipment fleet; first and foremost, we need a new RSM 2400 or K-742 tractor," Ivan Borisovich said.
Overall, the harvesting campaign in the Tomsk Region has passed its halfway point – 54% of the planned harvest has been completed. A total of 224,270 tons of grain have been threshed, covering 78,460 hectares. The average yield is 28.6 c/ha, which is 3.1 c/ha higher than the same date in 2024. 30.3% of the harvest has been stored in grain storage facilities . The oilseed harvest
has begun in the region . Rapeseed harvesting has begun in the Kozhevnikovsky and Shegarsky districts. The farms of Vasily Shevtsov, Alexander Varfolomeev, and Ekaterina Zintsova have also begun harvesting. As of today, 420 hectares have been harvested, 830 tons have been threshed, and the average yield is 19.8 centners per hectare. According to Ekaterina Zintsova, the rapeseed harvest has only just begun. This is the farm's second year sowing the Forpost variety; previously, they sowed linear varieties imported from the Altai Krai, such as Yubileyny. "Wheat yielded a very good harvest this year; we've been sowing Irgina for many years. This season's yield is up to 40 centners per hectare. However, our new Italian mobile grain dryer has recently broken down. After drying peas, the auger broke. The dealers didn't have spare parts, but they promised to help us at a Tomsk plant. We're expecting parts any day now; we need to continue drying the grain. Our plans now include purchasing a new grain drying complex," the farmer shared . The forage harvesting campaign continues in the region. In three districts—Shegarsky, Tomsky, and Chainsky—production is exceeding plan targets. Overall, 25.4 centners of feed units per HEAD of corn have been harvested across the region. According to Anton Volsky, chief agronomist at the Nelyubino agricultural cooperative, corn, which is being sown for silage, has been particularly successful this season. A total of 360 hectares were sown, of which 320 hectares were occupied by the Baikal hybrid, 10 hectares by the Voronezhsky 160 hybrid, and another 10 hectares each by Zolotoy Pochatok 147 MV, Zolotoy Pochatok 143 MV, and Zolotoy Pochatok 153 MV.
"The average corn yield this season is 350 centners per hectare, and in some areas it reaches 650 centners per hectare. We usually grow this crop for silage, but this year the corn has matured very well. We may leave a small plot for grain," said Anton Volsky.
Sowing is nearing completion in the Tomsk region .Winter crops are currently 96.6% complete, with 9,686,000 hectares sown with winter crops.
Farmers are actively preparing fallow land for next year's harvest—as of today, 18.1% of the planned area, or 24,202,000 hectares, has been cultivated.
