Clients experience problems with the issuance of currency in banks. They complain about the lack of money, delays in issuance even with pre-order and commission.

Clients of Russian banks complain about the difficulties with withdrawing cash in the branches of credit institutions. Problems are noted not only with sanctioned banks. For example, users of the banki.ru portal write about this (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, etc.), RBC correspondents and their acquaintances also faced similar difficulties.

Problems with the issuance of currency are recorded against the background of the collapse of the ruble due to the imposition of US and EU sanctions. A Raiffeisenbank client said that when contacting a bank branch on March 1 to withdraw dollars from an account, the teller offered to leave a request for withdrawal. The next day is March 14th. At the same time, money can be withdrawn only with a commission - at least 10 dollars or euros. The acquaintances of the RBC correspondent tried to withdraw cash at the VTB branch (fell under US blocking sanctions ). The bank also offers to leave an application in advance and can guarantee the issuance of only dollars, not euros.

A client of Ak Bars Bank complains that he ordered the issuance of a deposit in foreign currency in four days. After this time, bank employees in the branch of the city of Vladimir said that there was no money in any branch and it was not known when they would be. They offered to issue a deposit in rubles at an "inadequate" bank rate.

In addition, a number of banks are reducing limits on free cash withdrawals (per day and per month), RBC correspondents were convinced.

Most major banks did not respond to requests from RBC. Raiffeisenbank, Gazprombank, Promsvyazbank (under blocking EU and US sanctions) and Zenit confirm the increased demand of the population for currency, their representatives said.
