How business reacted to the new COVID restrictions in Moscow. The main thing

In Moscow due to the increase in the incidence of covid-19made non-working days from June 15 to 19 and introduced a number of restrictions. How business reacted to new anti-epidemic measures - in the material of RBC

On Saturday, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin declared non-working days from June 15 to 19, thus extending the weekend until June 20. He explained this decision by an increase in the incidence of CORONAVIRUS infection (6.7 thousand cases of infection were detected in the capital over the past day, this is the maximum since December last year).

As a result, the authorities have announced the following restrictions:

From June 13, employers are advised to telecommute at least 30% of employees, as well as all employees over the age of 65 and with chronic diseases (with the exception of those vaccinated against coronavirus). From June 13 to June 20, the provision of catering services is suspended from 23:00 to 06:00 (except for take-out and delivery of orders), personal services, entertainment and entertainment events in nightclubs, bars, discos, karaoke. From June 13 to June 20, visits by citizens to zoos, food courts and children's playrooms, as well as the use of "urban infrastructure facilities" in parks are suspended.

The founder of the MEAT & Fish restaurants, Sergei Mironov, told RBC that Moscow restaurants account for about 20% of their revenue at night, but it all depends on the format of work - there are establishments that work only at night, for them this is very critical, for those who works at night, it's "partially bad". Restrictions on work at night are critical, primarily for bars and nightclubs, the businessman said.

“If restaurants that operate during the day and at night simply suffer losses, then some bars and nightclubs may not survive,” Mironov explained, adding that the restrictions could be extended, and it is not clear “how long this will last.”
