The livestock industry of the MINSK region is gradually reaching a new level, increasing production volumes and, accordingly, sales revenue every year. But it would be impossible to implement any plans without people who work every day in a difficult field that requires knowledge, skills, and great dedication. Today in the Minsk region, those who set the tone in livestock farming were awarded, who, in fact, feed their country and beyond with high-quality MILK and MEAT. BELTA correspondents also attended the celebration, which took place in the Stolbtsy district cultural center.
The event to sum up the results of the regional competition for achieving the best indicators in the development of the agro-industrial complex has become traditional. In 2023, the list of leaders in the field of livestock farming and related industries includes more than 170 representatives of the central region.“In September we honored grain growers, and today we celebrate those who represent one of the most significant spheres of agriculture, a kind of industry driver. The structure of crops is formed from the needs of livestock farming, just as the financial well-being of the labor collectives of processing enterprises and the completeness of the assortment depend on the results of your work and availability of products. The agro-industrial complex of the Minsk region is demonstrating stable growth, and your contribution to this dynamics is also significant, because you generate more than 60% of agricultural revenues and ensure the country’s food security,” said Chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Turchin.
Alexander TurchinHe also noted that in recent years the region has achieved record levels in grain collection and milk production, which was facilitated by financial investments in the industry, competent management decisions, as well as direct support of initiatives by the HEAD of state.
Investments in the agricultural sector continue. In 2023, the construction of more than 30 modern transport and transport complexes will be completed, technological equipment at processing enterprises will be updated, and mechanization and automation of many processes will be expanded. More than Br260 million has been invested this year in the development of livestock farming, and this is the volume of investment in the construction of new premises.
“We are not going to stop, and next year all our plans will move forward: the regional budget provides funds for the further construction of livestock complexes. Our task is to quickly transfer all livestock to modern MTK. While solving this, we must not forget about people, gradually increasing the prestige of work in rural areas, including by creating conditions for work and life,” the governor emphasized.
Certificates and thanks from the Minsk Regional Executive Committee for high achievements in the development of the agro-industrial sector awarded not only to the best workers in the livestock industry - from livestock specialists and veterinarians to cattle breeding operators - but also to farms.
Thus, in the nomination “Production and sale of livestock” the winner was JSC “Krutogorye-Petkovichi”, the sales volume of which was 968.5 kg per 100 point-hectares of farmland.
The highest volume of milk sales - 86.2 centners per 100 point-hectares - was provided by Kosino OJSC in the Logoisk region, and 100% of the milk here was supplied to processors in the extra grade.
The first place in the production of herbaceous feed, or 46 centners of feed units per conventional head of livestock, was secured by the farmers of JSC Zaterevo of the Stolbtsovsky district, and the leader in the production of rapeseed oilseeds was the Pyatigorye branch of JSC Agrokombinat Dzerzhinsky.
We were also able to communicate with those for whom the early morning of every day begins on the farm.

By the way, the wife of the leading worker devoted her entire life to animal husbandry: first she worked as a milkmaid, then she managed a farm.
Alina Bakharevich is one of those who will have to take the industry to a new level, because she started work a little over a year ago.
“I was assigned to OJSC “Kukhchitsy” in the Kletsk district and did not regret it. The working conditions were excellent, they were given a renovated apartment, and there were also about fifty young people like me on the farm. She graduated from the Grodno Agrarian University, a certified livestock specialist, "They entrusted us with a new farm. The result of our work is our indicators: by the end of the year, I think, we will reach 10 thousand kg of milk for each cow. This means there will be a salary, stability, and a good mood," the girl shared.
Well, awards to the best are another incentive for more effective work.
