“If you are talking about crickets and insect larvae, then there is no need to feed people with this... We propose making fish food from insects,” she said in an interview with RIA Novosti. According to her, Western countries are reducing support for cattle producers to reduce methane emissions. For this reason, they are trying to find an alternative to animal protein. 

Victoria Abramchenko stated that RUSSIA has the opportunity to provide itself with healthy food products and necessary raw materials. As an example, she cited the cultivation of legumes and grain crops rich in plant protein. “There is a segment of manufacturers who are ready to use our grains to make this very “food of the future”, necessary for vegans or athletes. And this direction will develop,” explained the Deputy Prime Minister.
