There are 11 breeding farms left in the Komi Republic, 4 of which are developing meat livestock farming

According to information from the HEAD of the regional Ministry of Agriculture, Sergei Eldin, the number of breeding cattle was maintained at the 2023 level. The republic's agricultural organizations have 4,900 heads of breeding cattle , of which 2,400 are cows. The number of breeding reindeer also remained stable and exceeds 47 thousand heads. The Komi Ministry of Agriculture plans to intensify efforts to increase the number of breeding farms in the region in order to further develop the genetic potential of animals.
