The corresponding order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
Funds from the federal budget will be used to subsidize new preferential investment loans provided to agricultural enterprises.
This will make it possible to implement large investment projects in the industry, increase production volumes and increase the processing of agricultural products.
The preferential lending program for farmers was launched in 2017. Since 2018, aquaculture enterprises have been included in it.
Program participants can take out a short-term (up to 2 years) or investment (up to 15 years) loan at a reduced rate.
In February, 20 billion rubles were allocated from the federal budget to subsidize this program, of which 18 billion rubles went to support short-term loans and 2 billion rubles to support investment loans.
The issue was discussed at a meeting with deputy prime ministers on April 8. Mikhail Mishustin noted that in 2023, more than 200 billion rubles were allocated for the implementation of the program of preferential lending to farmers, and almost 215 billion rubles for 2024 .
At the end of 2023, the volume of commercial aquaculture production in the country reached 402 thousand tons - an increase by 2022 of 4.8%.
Over the past 10 years, this figure has doubled.
