Pork consumption is projected to increase by 4% to 1.73 million tonnes CWE in 2026, driven by robust population growth and strong economic growth. The Philippine government also continues to implement measures to maintain inflation within the target range, which will help consumers access affordable meat products.

Pork imports are projected to increase by 7% to 750,000 tonnes CWE in 2026, amid challenges to local production caused by the outbreak of animal diseases and increased demand due to population growth. Brazil is expected to remain the Philippines' primary supplier of imported pork due to accreditation granted to its exporters and competitive pricing.
