FSBI VNIIKR and the National Center for the Protection of Animal and Plant Health of the Republic of Cuba (CENSA) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation

Both sides attach great importance to this project, since during its implementation scientists and specialists will have a unique opportunity not only to study various types of plants and insects, but also to test in practice the effectiveness of new biological preparations to combat dangerous diseases and pests.

The memorandum of understanding and scientific and technical cooperation provides for joint scientific research, exchange of scientific and technical information, participation in seminars, scientific conferences and events, as well as training and internships.

Cooperation between the scientific communities of the Russian Federation and Cuba will become another element in matters of ensuring phytosanitary, and hence food security. Russian-Cuban cooperation, of course, will also find a positive response in terms of the development of bilateral trade relations.
