At a specialized farm for fattening and growing young cattle in the Zheleznogorsk district of the Kursk region, out of 1,800 new luxury houses, 660 have already been occupied by the first residents - Holstein bulls. The new concrete playground was created to accommodate babies from birth to three months.
The site of the special farm for growing and fattening young cattle is completely filled with the Group's own livestock from livestock facilities in the Kursk and Tver regions.
“The strategy of using sexed and traditional semen at our livestock complexes takes into account filling the capacities of the special fattening farm with bulls, and dairy complexes with heifers,” comments Svetlana Trofimova, DIRECTOR of the Department of Dairy and MEAT Animal Husbandry of the Agropromkomplektatsiya Group of Companies. “Thus, Agropromkomplektatsiya not only covers its own needs for replacement young animals, but also actively sells breeding animals to third-party contractors.”
